We would like to welcome you to Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants Group with the reassurance that the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is always our priority. You can rest assured that we are going above and beyond the strict government guidelines. These guidelines are likely to change over time and our approach will be adjusted and refined accordingly.
Whilst you will undoubtedly notice some changes to keep both our guests and our teams safe, you’ll be reassured to receive the usual warm welcome from the same personable team, not to mention the exemplary service and sense of arrival you can always expect at a Devonshire property.
We are confident that the extra safety measures, which are detailed below, will allow you to enjoy a relaxing time with us. We look forward to offering guests the warmest of welcomes, in a safe and responsible manner.
Stay safe,
Richard Palmer
Managing Director
For your peace of mind when booking with us, we’ve introduced The Devonshire Promise, which guarantees that all of our properties will be clean and safe, all bookings will be amendable and cancellable and that you’ll always get the best rate when you book direct. For full details please click here.
Our hotels have been reconfigured to allow for extra lounge and restaurant space which enables social distancing. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (where applicable) and dinner will be available on a pre-booked basis only.
At The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, Bolton Abbey the swimming pool, gym and treatment rooms are now open in a reduced capacity, with morning and evening 45-minute swim sessions available for residents and spa experiences available during the day, advanced bookings required. As further restrictions are lifted, we will continue to add in spa services.
Please note that we are now a cashless business and unable to accept cash payments. You will be delivered an invoice to your room, and can settle your balance at reception in person or by telephoning reception.
One member of all guest parties will be required provide a name and contact details for our records which we will hold for 21 days as per the government’s requirements. We will refuse entry to those who do not provide their details, or those who have provided details which we believe to be inaccurate.
Please note, the law states that face coverings must be worn by all guests when entering the public areas of a hotel, unless you are exempt for health reasons. This includes when walking to your table or to the toilet. Face coverings are not required when seated in our restaurants and bars.
The government have introduced rules around alcoholic drinks which are outlined here. Please bear with our team as we continue to navigate our way through these challenging times.
Non-alcoholic soft and hot drinks can be served at any time. Alcoholic drinks can currently only be served as part of a dining experience, which must constitute a ‘substantial meal’. Guests can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the lounge whilst viewing our menu. Drinks can be served throughout your meal, after which you’ll be able to retire to the lounge for coffee and a post dinner drink. Unfortunately, no further alcoholic drinks can be served. Last orders will be 10pm and our lounges and restaurants will close at 11pm.
