OUR CURRENT POSITION

For your peace of mind when booking with us, we’ve introduced The Devonshire Promise, which guarantees that all of our properties will be clean and safe, all bookings will be amendable and cancellable and that you’ll always get the best rate when you book direct. Our hotels have been reconfigured to allow for extra lounge and restaurant space which enables social distancing. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (where applicable) and dinner will be available on a pre-booked basis only.

At The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, Bolton Abbey the swimming pool, gym and treatment rooms are now open, with 45-minute swim sessions available for residents and spa experiences available during the day, advanced bookings required.

Please note that we are now a cashless business and unable to accept cash payments.

Please feel free to wear a face covering if you prefer.

What are we doing to keep you safe at our hotels?

PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL

  • Unfortunately, those currently with symptoms, or self-isolating will be asked to visit at a future date. In this instance, your booking can be moved to a later date.

CHECK-IN

  • Hand sanitiser will be provided at the entrance to each of our properties.
  • Luggage portering service will be available on request at The Devonshire Arms Hotel and The Cavendish Hotel.
  • All guest information will be available via an app, as our traditional guest directories have been removed.

YOUR ROOM

  • All bedrooms and public areas will have been cleaned and disinfected using hospital grade chemicals.
  • All linen and towels will be disinfected and washed at high temperatures by a commercial linen company and freshly made for each arrival.
  • For your peace of mind, you’ll receive an in room welcome pack including hand sanitiser, disinfectant wipes and toiletries.
  • Hand sanitiser will be readily available.
  • Customer service will be just a phone call away.
  • Our housekeeping team can provide fresh linen and towels on request.

PUBLIC AREAS

  • In addition to the existing hand washing facilities around our properties, we will be supplying hand sanitiser in key locations.
  • Please feel free to wear a face mask if you wish.

DINING

  • We have adjusted our hotels to allow for more lounge and restaurant space which enables social distancing. We’re also making the most of our outdoor dining space.
  • Breakfast times will need to be pre-booked.
  • Breakfast buffets have been removed and instead table service will be provided.
  • Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner will also need to be pre-booked.
  • Menus will be available either on the Devonshire app or a printed option.
  • We are encouraging contactless payment methods including adding your bill to your room reservation or using facilities such as Apple Pay.

CHECK OUT

  • Payment can be taken over the phone or at reception. Alternatively, you can request an email with a payment link to enter your card details. Payments must be by card as we no longer accept cash.

WHEN LEAVING

  • Prior to departing your cottage, we would request that you open the windows.
  • Please return your key to the key safe on departure.

DURING YOUR VISIT

  • We have adjusted our restaurants to allow for social distancing and to make the most of our outdoor dining space.

WHEN LEAVING

  • We are encouraging contactless payment methods including Apple Pay.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE AT THE DEVONSHIRE SPA, BOLTON ABBEY?
  • For hotel residents, 45 minute swim sessions are available to book on a first come first served basis, therefore please let us know as soon as possible if you wish to swim while you are with us. Alternatively, spa experiences can be pre-booked for during the day, to include longer spa access and treatments. Gym access can be booked separately and is available throughout the day, please let us know if you wish to book a time slot.
  • Non-residents are welcome to join us for a spa day experience or treatment, with limited availability.
  • Consultations are done online prior to your arrival, so your time with us starts as smoothly as possible.
  • You will be given a specific arrival time, to avoid any congestion on reception.
  • All linen is washed with sanitising detergent at 60 degrees.
  • Hand sanitiser is readily available.
