Our two-night Conservation Retreat offers a journey of discovery, immersing you in autumn’s wildlife wonders. Harvest apples in our walled garden, enjoy an evening under the stars with our full moon walk and engage in activities that celebrate the new season.

Throughout your stay, you’ll savour the finest locally sourced dishes such as an autumn harvest tasting menu and a gourmet picnic tea with champagne to enjoy outdoors (weather providing).

Your two day itinerary

DAY 1:

• 1pm early check in

• Lunch in the Brasserie

• Fungal foray afternoon with local expert Andy Woodall

• Full moon evening walk/workshop led by local expert Richard Darn

• Autumnal picnic tea with champagne to enjoy on the full moon walk

DAY 2:

• Nature inspired guided woodland walk led by our expert, Jane Clark

• Session with our Head Gardener at the walled garden to pick apples for apple pie making at home. You’ll receive your own recipe card to take away.

• Lunch in the Brasserie

• Afternoon foraging workshop with Chris Bax, owner of Bax Botanicals

• Autumn harvest tasting menu

Day 3:

• Leisurely breakfast and departure

• Plus complimentary use of our spa facilities throughout your stay, including our state of the art vitality pool, steam room and sauna.

We’ll take care of everything throughout your Conservation Retreat, with pick ups from the hotel to take you to your activities across the Bolton Abbey Estate. The retreat has been designed to be as immersive as possible, so therefore we only have 12 spaces available.
