Meet the team – Devonshire Arms Pilsley
Meet Jimmy, Resident Manager at The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley on the Chatsworth Estate. Jimmy joins the team at Pilsley from The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, as Restaurant Manager of the award-winning Burlington Restaurant.
Having started his hospitality career at Chatsworth House, he has spent the past 7 years working in Country House Hotels in the Lake District and North Yorkshire, and has a real passion for customer service.
Being Derbyshire born, Jimmy was itching to move back from good ‘ole Yorkshire to reunite with his family, and when the position came available as Resident Manager at Pilsley it felt like it was meant to be.
Jimmy’s day to day responsibilities include running the pub on a day to day basis ensuring that the high standards are maintained and that all guests leave having enjoyed their experience. And he seems to be doing a cracking job as The Devonshire Arms Pilsley has been nominated for Pub of the Year at VisitEngland’s Awards of Excellence.
