Take in the sights and sounds of Strid Wood – don’t forget your binoculars!

Discover the many birds that call the ancient woodland at Strid Wood their home during the summer months. The evening will star the recognisable Greater Spotted Woodpecker and Blue Tit, the gracious Heron and, if you are lucky, a glimpse of the shy Kingfisher.

Stroll along the riverbank and pick up useful tips to help you spot the birds from Ian Court, Yorkshire Dales National Park Wildlife Conservation Officer. You’ll also discover why the Pied Flycatcher, a Red List species of conservation concern, returns to the mature trees of Strid Wood each April for the breeding season.

Running on 11th June 7pm till 9pm.
