Terms and conditions

1. ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION
   1.1. The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa and The Devonshire Fell 2024 Wedding competition is free of charge to entrants on the following website www.devonshirehotels.co.uk/winawedding between the dates of 11th January and 20th  March 2024. The draw will be made after 20th March and the winner will be announced and notified on the 24th March at the Devonshire Arms Hotel wedding open day. The winner must confirm their chosen prize venue and date by 30th April 2024.
   1.2. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands aged 18 years or over at the time of entering the competition.
   1.3. Entrants will only be entitled to enter once as a couple, duplicate entries will be removed.
   1.4. No employee of Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants Group or its representatives is entitled to enter or immediate relative of an employee.
   1.5. Winning couples will be expected to share their story and preparations through the Devonshire Group’s social media pages. This will include photographs and video interviews.
   1.6. We reserve the right to ask for evidence to verify the age, identity and/or eligibility to wed in the UK at any time. This includes any relevant documentation.
   1.7. The winner will be selected by an independent judge
2. ENTRY
   2.1. Completion of the online entrance form, including satisfactory answers to the questions, will gain entrance to the draw. Winner’s names will be available on request. Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants Group will own the copyright on entries.
   2.2. Entries must not be sent in through agents. Such entries are void alongside bulk entries.
   2.3. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the operation of any part of the competition, our decision shall be final.
3. THE PRIZE
   3.1. One winning couple will be allocated and one prize is available. No swaps or changes will be allowed. The draw will be made on the 24th March 2024 and the winner announced and notified on the same day at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Arms during the Wedding Open day. Should we be unable to contact the winner within 5 days, the prize will be given to another entry chosen by the same independent judge.
   3.2. The prize is valued at £12,000. No cash alternative will be available. Upgrades will be available for additional guests, enhanced alcohol packages, enhanced menus, and enhanced décor/entertainment. The couple’s Wedding Coordinator will be able to guide the couple on required extras once the prize has been allocated. Additional costs over and above the prize package will require full payment one month prior to the wedding date.
   3.3. Couples must arrange and pay for their own registrar (please contact North Yorkshire Registration Service or church service).
   3.4. The wedding prize dates have been reserved. They are not transferrable. Couples have to be able to fulfil their remaining wedding arrangements and legal requirements for their chosen date. The wedding will need to be held either on September 28th 2024 or May 10th 2025 (subject to availability). The winner must confirm their chosen prize date by 30th April 2024.

3.5. The prize includes the following:
3.5.1. From The Devonshire Fell or The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa:
• White table linen, round tables, chiavari chairs and crockery for your special day
• A dedicated wedding team to look after every venue detail from start to finish
• Civil ceremony room hire if required
• Master of Ceremonies from the hotel throughout the day
• Exclusive use of the hotel for your wedding day from 12.00pm until 11.00am the next morning incl. use of 16 bedrooms for the night, accommodating 32 guests (bed & breakfast basis) (The Devonshire Fell only)

• A reception drink and toasting drink of Prosecco or bottled Peroni (or non-alcoholic alternative) per person
• Three-course set meal for all guests to enjoy based on seasonal menu at the time of your chosen wedding day (max. of 50 guests)
• Tea, coffee and petit fours to follow the meal
• Evening hot sandwiches and chips (max. of 50 guests)
• 5 complimentary bedrooms, namely Beamsley, Crace, Wharfdale, Garden & Gericault (bed & breakfast basis) (The Devonshire Arms Hotel only)
• Bolton Abbey Estate car parking pass for use the day after your wedding to explore the wonderful grounds and Yorkshire countryside

3.5.2. From our trusted suppliers:

• Evening disco from DJ Ziggy
• Fairy Light backdrop or canopy Exclusive Entertainments
• Flowers from Wildflowers including five table centrepieces and a top table arrangement with a simple low table design in seasonal flowers.
• Venue dressing package of chiavari chairs and sashes in a colour of your choice from Create a look

3.5.3. The prize will not include the provision of any of the following. All of which must be considered by the couple before entering the competition. This list is not exhaustive but is provided as a prompt for entrants to consider their additional personal budget and choices required:

• Photographer
• Hair & Make up
• Wedding cars
• Wedding Planner
• Gifts, additional flowers, favours, cake
• Provision and/or payment for a civil service or registrar or any wedding legal costs
• Wedding attire
• Any entertainment with the exception of the hotel appointed DJ
