If you would rather keep your feet firmly planted on the Peak District then head over to the Tinkers Shaft instead and enjoy the views and steal a kiss up there.

Beautiful Bakewell is where you must share one of those famous sweet treats! This quaint village is located in the most idyllic spot by the river Wye with its cute courtyards, shops and markets there is plenty to explore! Be sure to bring a lock with you and secure your love for one another on the love lock bridge.

Take a stroll or even better catch a horse-drawn boat down Cromford Canal which stretches for five miles and is perfect for spotting wildlife and being by the calm waters of the canal. The northern stretch of the canal lies within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site which is a fascinating series of mill complexes.

Pack some cheese and a bottle of wine and head up to Ladybower Reservoir for sunset. The changing colours across the shimmering water is a world away from life's hustle and bustle. Simple romance at its very finest.
