For the walkers and explorers

The Ilkley Moors are perfect to experience on a clear sunny day and see the landscape of Yorkshire. Malham Cove and it's huge curving amphitheatre shaped cliff formation is a great adventure and was featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! The Bolton Abbey Estate has a walk for all ages with the Welly Walk and Valley of Desolation and Simon’s Seat where you can experienced the beautiful waterfalls. Don’t forget to pop by Cavendish Pavilion if you are visiting the estate for a scoop or two of Northern Bloc ice cream. Or if you are looking for something more challenging the three peaks climbing Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent takes around 12 hours to complete.
For the thrill-seekers Yorkshire has a number of centres, natural coastlines and scenic terrain where you can embrace your inner adrenaline junkie and try something new. From bungee jumping in Ripon, to coasteering on the Yorkshire coast, to rock climbing in some of the UK’s best limestone spots, take in Yorkshire’s splendid scenery from a whole new perspective. If you enjoy the water but would prefer something a little more relaxing take a trip down the River Nidd in Knaresborough in their popular red and green boats. Or perhaps you may want to catch up with friends and family and enjoy a picnic along the River Wharfe by the Burnsall Bridge!

The Yorkshire Dales Is rich in its heritage and culture with lots of to learn and discover, York Minister, Castle Howard, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Bolton Abbey Estate ruins to name a few are a must to visit!
