Hotel Closure Update
It is with a significant amount of regret that we announce that we have chosen to close all of our hotels and inns for the time being, following the government’s most recent announcement. We make this decision with a heavy heart, but have chosen, as always, to put the health and wellbeing of our guests and teams as our priority.
Whilst we hope that this closure will only be short-term it is impossible to be certain when we might be able to reopen, but we feel this action is necessary to protect our guests and teams from the current health risk.
People are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s for this very reason that we count so many of our guests as friends, who chose to stay and visit us time and time again. It’s also why we are proud to have many loyal long-serving team members throughout the group.
We will now embark on the huge task of contacting all guests who have booked to stay or dine with us over the coming weeks. If you are due to visit us in the near future, please don’t worry, there is no need to contact us as we will be in touch with you to support you in re-arranging your plans.
We’re also putting together some additional services to help people who are in self-isolation, those who are finding it difficult to obtain supplies, and those who simply want to be able continue to enjoy the very best of local food and drink. Further details on these measures will follow.
We’ll continue to send out any updates to you to keep you fully informed, but if you have any questions then we’re always here to help, just drop us a line at res@devonshirehotels.co.uk
In addition we’d love to keep in touch via social media, which can bring us closer together as a community, whether to reminisce, or indeed look forward to future visits once the situation has alleviated.
In the meantime, we’ll be actively planning for a time when we can celebrate the re-opening of our hotels, inns and restaurants and hope that you will soon be back to join us in better times.
Whilst these are unprecedented times we know they are temporary, and we are confident during this time, and beyond, that we shall be able to further demonstrate our core values, which are ‘to benefit our heritage, our people and our shared future’….
Best Wishes
Richard Palmer, Managing Director
