The Old Wash House is a cosy cottage full of modern touches and bags of history. It’s perfect for a romantic break. The building was previously used as a wash house for Heathy Lea House. One of the original copper tubs, with the door to the fire underneath it, still remains as a feature in the large bathroom next to the original fireplace.

Despite being beautifully remote, the proximity of the A619 behind the Old Wash House means that Bakewell, Pilsley, and the peaks are all within reach.
Dogs are welcomed at a rate of £35 per dog per stay, please advise our reservations team when making your booking that you shall be bringing a dog with you. There is an abundance of things to do in the Peak District with dogs.

The entrance lobby leads to an open plan, well-equipped kitchen, dining, and living area. There is a dishwasher and large floor to ceiling sliding door, which allows direct access to the garden. There’s a comfortable sofa in the lounge area to curl up on with a good book.
