The five shepherd’s huts at Heathy Lea have been sympathetically designed to reflect their natural surroundings, bringing the outside in with high-quality natural materials, such as ethically sourced oak. Skilfully handcrafted, they are fully insulated to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Each hut has everything you need from supremely comfortable beds, a log burning stove (except Mr McGregor’s), fully equipped bathroom, a mini kitchen with chef’s basics, outdoor furniture, Wi-Fi, and a complimentary starter pack.

Our shepherd’s huts can sleep either two people, or our family hut sleeps three to four people. They come with a king sized bed or a king sized bed and bunk beds in our family hut. Bunk beds are full size and can accommodate adults if required.

Access and Arrival

Check in is 4pm and check-out is 10am.

There will be a key-box on your hut where you collect your key. The code will be shared with you on the day of your arrival.

There is parking available at all properties. Parking is clearly signposted on arrival. Access from the car park to the huts via uneven terrain using a combination of natural pathways including grass and gravel, all huts are accessed by a small number of steps.

 

Pets

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in our Shepherd’s Huts.

Wanderlust Camping Club

When you stay at Health Lea Shepherd’s Huts the lead guest automatically joins the Wanderlust Camping Club for 12 months. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Your hut is equipped with a kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave oven, shelves and cupboard space. So all that’s left to bring is food and drink for your stay and clothing.

Bedding and towels are included. Please remember that the great British weather can be unpredictable, so please pack for all eventualities. Warm clothing is recommended as evenings can be chilly, as well as wellies/boots as the site can be muddy during wet weather.

CAN I HAVE A CAMPFIRE?

Unfortunately, open fires are not allowed.

CAN I BRING MY OWN OUTDOOR FURNITURE?

Outdoor furniture is provided but you are welcome to bring your own deckchairs if you wish.

ARE YOU OPEN ALL YEAR?

Yes, we are open all year round. Our huts are fully insulated to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, with the addition of the wood burning stove.

DO YOU TAKE GROUP BOOKINGS?

We accept bookings from the following; families, couples, groups aged 18 and over (by prior arrangement). We do not accept bookings from stag/hen parties or unaccompanied under 16s.

CAN WE BOOK THE WHOLE SITE?

You can book all of the huts as a group of friends or family, subject to availability, by prior arrangement. However, group events and celebrations are not permitted at the site. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 7am and there must be no music or excessive noise after 11pm.
