Nestled in the glorious Monsal Dale and just a stone’s throw from the River Wye, Dipper Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the Peak District and its many attractions. The cottage is located six miles from Chatsworth House and three miles from the picturesque market town of Bakewell. Monsal Head, high above Monsal Dale, offers one of the most unforgettable views in Derbyshire.

Ground floor

The double-height reception has a reclaimed stone flagged floor, exposed beams and trusses, log burner and large smart TV. The reception room leads to the fully-equipped open plan kitchen and dining area, complete with an antler chandelier. Leading off from the kitchen is the ground floor double bedroom with en suite shower and toilet, with engineered oak flooring.

The ground level has underfloor heating throughout from a state-of-the-art biomass system.

First floor

An illuminated oak staircase leads to a galleried glass balcony overlooking the double-height open plan reception area and second bedroom. This bedroom has engineered oak flooring with a king-size bed, complete with an open plan en suite bathroom with bath and shower above.

Outside

Outside is a private walled garden and seating area with garden furniture, fire pit and barbeque. There is ample parking for two cars.

Please note that Chatsworth House is closed during the winter months. Although Chatsworth House itself is closed during winter, you can take advantage of free parking on The Estate and explore the beautiful grounds, shops and restaurants, alongside miles of walking in breathtaking surroundings.

Chatsworth House is open for the annual Christmas exhibition from 7th November 2020 until 3rd January 2021 before closing for winter until March 2021 (Chatsworth House, Garden and Farmyard are closed on 24th, 25th, 26th December 2020 and 1st January 2021).
