Keeper’s Cottage

There are four cottages in the Heathy Lea Collection which are all converted from within the former eighteenth-century farmyard at Heathy Lea on the edge of Chatsworth Park. The grounds of Heathy Lea open directly into the park where guests are free to walk any time (with their dogs on a lead) through the 1100 acres of Chatsworth Park which owes much of its appearance to Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Look out for the abandoned millstones on the rock edges, the gnarled oak woodland, and the resident herds of red and fallow deer as you walk the short distance (20-30 mins) to Chatsworth.

Despite the remote location in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, the A619 behind these properties, links you to nearby Bakewell, Pilsley and beyond.

The cottage is perfectly placed to explore all that the Peak District has to offer, including the magnificent stately home, garden, farmyard and playground at Chatsworth. As well as an abundance of country walks and local beauty spots within easy reach.
