Things to do in Derbyshire…

Cycling

Explore the Peaks by bike! There are routes to suite all abilities from flat, traffic free rides such as the Monsal trail, ideal for families and novices through to move challenging mountain bike rides in the hills. The Bakewell route is great to experience the white peaks landscape and the magnificent views of the Chatsworth House! You can hire bikes locally or bring your own.

Walking in the Peaks

The Peak District and Derbyshire is one of the UK’s most popular walking destinations.  Walk in landscapes that are diverse and spectacular with its natural beauty. Why not follow the Peak District Boundary Walk with stretching moorland tops of the South Pennines to the gentle limestone scenery of the Derbyshire Dales. The route embraces the urban edges of Sheffield and Oldham, as well as Staffordshire’s rugged moorland and the undulating slopes of Cheshire, with never ending photo opportunities!

Fishing

The River Wye and Derwent both offer excellent fishing for brown trout and the occasional rainbow trout. We find fishermen from all over the world coming to sample these nearby rivers, and believe that they offer exceptional beats to explore.
