Plantation Cottage

Plantation Cottage is being refurbished by the Duchess of Devonshire to create quaint self-catering accommodation for up to six guests. The cottage was originally built in 1849 and cost just £411-18s-3d!

Guests of Plantation Cottage are just steps away from access into the 1,100 acres of Chatsworth Park and a leisurely walk across the park to Chatsworth House. The Cavendish Hotel is also just a short stroll away in the village of Baslow, where you can enjoy afternoon tea or award-winning fine dining in The Gallery Restaurant.

Ground floor

An open hallway leads to a downstairs shower room, lounge, kitchen and separate dining room. The well-equipped kitchen includes a kitchen island with bar stools. The lounge features a bay window and comfortable seating for six.

First floor

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms with king sized beds, each with countryside views. There is a family bathroom upstairs.

Outside

There is an enclosed courtyard to the rear of the cottage and lawn area to the front. Parking for three cars.

The cottage is perfectly placed on the Chatsworth Estate to explore all that the area has to offer, including the magnificent stately home, garden, farmyard and playground. As well as an abundance of country walks and local beauty spots within easy reach.
